On November 23rd 1983, Colin Smythe published The Colour of Magic, the first of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels. The first printing of this book was just 506 copies. Today, one of those 506 books would make many thousands of pounds on the rare book market. Now, however, you don't have to mortgage the house or sell you car to get your very own copy of The Colour of Magic exactly as it appeared on that fateful date in 1983. Hill House have produced this facsimile edition to be identical in every respect to the original, with the exception of a small notice on the copyright page. In fact, they have even had it printed by the very same printer originally used by Colin Smythe.

The Light Fantastic is the second Discworld novel, originally published by Colin Smythe Ltd. on June 2nd, 1986. This was Terry Pratchett's fifth published work, as his non-Discworld books The Carpet People, The Dark Side of the Sun and Strata all proceeded The Colour of Magic.
