November 23rd 1983, Colin Smythe published The Colour of Magic, the first of Terry
Pratchett's Discworld novels. The first printing
of this book was just 506 copies. Today, one of
those 506 books would make many thousands of
pounds on the rare book market. Now, however,
you don't have to mortgage the house or sell you
car to get your very own copy of The Colour
of Magic exactly as it appeared on that
fateful date in 1983. This facsimile edition is identical in every
respect to the original, with the exception of a
small notice on the copyright page. In fact,
they have even had it printed by the very same
printer originally used by Colin Smythe. |
